Little Known Facts

Welcome to the Goshen Township Police & Fire levy website. On Tuesday August 5th, the Goshen Township emergency services departments desperately need your YES vote to maintain current police, fire, and emergency medical services in addition to preparing the departments to meet the needs of our growing community.

What is it?
A continuing 4.5 mill levy that will be used solely for Goshen Township emergency services. Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services.

Maintaining a high level
of Safety and Security for Goshen

Prevent layoffs – maintain
highly-qualified fire/police/EMS
Maintain highest level of fire/police/EMS service and response time
  Improve and Expand much needed
Fire/police/EMS equipment

Why is this levy so important?
New homes and businesses continue to move into Goshen resulting in a significant increase in the number of calls to service for police, fire, and EMS. Although the call volume has increased and inflation has occurred, funding for emergency services has remained the same. The necessity to provide additional services has resulted in a safety services funding deficit which will ultimately require layoffs of police and fire personnel if this levy is unsuccessful. There is absolutely no other option available, our only choice is to come to you, the residents of Goshen whom we proudly serve to ask you to help us, help you.
